It is a great idea to read as much as you can about the novel you are studying. However, remember that you must not simply copy and paste information and pass it off as your own. Examiners are looking for a personal response to the characters, events and issues etc. in the novel as well as a firm understanding of the central concerns of the novel and an appreciation of the writer’s style.
