There are lots of ways to get involved in BOOK WEEK 2012.

The biggest event is the Sponsored Read. We’d like as many people as possible to read for at least 60 minutes during the school week.

Come along and read in the library at morning interval and enjoy a Book Brunch. Entry is free, you simply need to bring along your sponsor form.

Our popular Blurbie Competition is back. This time we want you to dress Blurbie as a hero or villain. Entry forms are available now from the library and should be handed in by the end of the day on Friday 21st September.

Inspired by the Olympics or Andy Murray’s fantastic win at the US Open? Enter our Writing Competition and tell us about your real life hero. Entries should be no more than one side of A4. The deadline is the end of the day on Friday 21st September.

S1 pupils are all being given the chance to enter our Book Hunt. Members of staff will be wearing Book Badges and pupils will be trying to find as many of the 120 book titles as possible. Extra copies of the competition forms will be available from the library for anyone from S2-S6 who wishes to join the hunt.

From tomorrow, pictures of twelve villains will be displayed throughout the school. Find as many of the Dirty Dozen as you can and match them up with the correct superhero. Competition forms will be available from the library from Monday 17th September.

How well do you know your comic book heroes and villains? Pick up a form from the library from Monday 17th September and find out.

For more information, visit the library.
